Virtual Reality is a technological framework that combines several of the key disciplines I’ve been focusing on for many years: 3D graphics, audio, strorytelling and interactive user experience. In cooperation with Berlin based digital design agency Exozet I’ve had the pleasure to significantly contribute to the development of two highly immersive VR experiences for German car manufacturer AUDI. Each one showcased the AUDI e-tron Sportback concept in very different scenarios: while the first experience was on public display at the Formula-E racing event 2017, simulating a test track in a virtual desert, the second one offered a thrililing ride through abstract landscapes enhanced by pumping club beats, publically accessible close to the red carpet of the world renowned Berlinale film festival.
I’ve created all assets, including a highly optimized version of the e-tron vehicle model and several abstract architecture elements for the first installation and fully art directed the Berlinale experience, again including hands-on creation of all envirnonment assets.
